The Morning After A Sick Day | Comfy Basics

Camel Cardigan by Lafayette 148 (from Crossroads Trading Co.) | Black Suede Skinny Pants from Cuffs Boutique (worn here as well) | White Henley from American Eagle | White Purse by Betsey Johnson (from vintage boutique in Sacramento) | Taupe Wedges by Calvin Klein (from Macy's) | Lipcolor in Demure

Who says basics have to be boring?!

Not me! I've been sick with the flu for the last five days, and finally I was well enough to go back to work. Instead of hitting the snooze button like I was planning on doing, I decided to get up a bit earlier and eat breakfast, wash my face (I need to get better at this!), throw on a headband, put on some light makeup, and wear something comfy but also somewhat cute.  I'm glad I did because let me tell you, I felt so much better and got a decent amount of work done. It felt nice to finally join the world again. Black suede skinny pants, a white long sleeved Henley, and an over-sized camel cardigan with the cutout detail is the comfiest combo for the morning after!

While I was sick, Zoey took good care of me (i.e. he slept on my body while I was sleeping), and I was able to re-watch Friends from the very beginning. There are so many episodes I missed the first time around so I'm looking forward to watching the entire series in sequential order. I'm obsessive-compulsive like that! And yes, I'm well aware that there are plenty of new TV shows to watch... but I just can't help myself!

I'm so looking forward to the 3-day weekend!! Just two more days to go... Thanks for visiting today!
