Makeup Goals: Simple Look

One of my goals for creating this blog was to look more polished and "put together" on a regular basis, aka wearing more makeup. On a daily basis, I do not wear much makeup (at least right now I don't, being unemployed and all), and I notice that sometimes, it affects my mood and how I interact with others.  When you look great, you feel great, and this translates in how you interact with the world.  So with that being said, I want to use more of my (many) makeup products this year, and try out new looks on a semi-regular basis.  I wore this look below for a day of shopping, but I see myself wearing this for many different occasions as well.

Starting with a clean face...Excuse the robe, it was just too comfy :)

I use Dior HyrdaLife moisturizer, an eye cream, and lip balm first so it has time to absorb into my skin.  I don't typically wear foundation on a day-to-day basis because I hate how it makes my skin look and feel.

Letting the products sink into my skin...

I use Maybeline FitMe powder, Loreal DreamLumi highlighting concealer, and the Benefit Pore Professional to make my skin look as flawless as can be.

I apply a bit of the concealer on my dark circles to conceal and highlight.

I use the Milani XL bronzer to bronze my cheeks and temples, Mac's Coppertone blush, and my (favorite!) elf Baked Highlighter in Moonlight pearls to highlight my cheekbones.  Brushes used are the Morphe face brush and RealTechniques stippling brush.

For the eye look, I created a very natural look using a few eyeshadows from MakeupGeek.  I also used an eyebrow pencil product from Milani, the DiorShow Lash Maximizer and Urban Decay Perversion mascara.  Eye brushes used were a combination of MakeupGeek and Morphe.

On the crease: Creme Brulee and Peach Smoothie
Outer V: Cocoa Bear
Lids: Purely Naked
Inner corner and brow highlight: Shimma Shimma

Lips: ColourPop LippieStix pen and lipstick in Brink.  It is a very natural color, creamy, and matte! I love this lipstick (and I'm not typically a fan of lip products!)

Love the cheekbone highlight!!

I hope you enjoyed this simple makeup look! The lighting is terrible (I know!), and hopefully I can find a better camera pronto.  I've been using my smart phone to take my blog photos.  Also, maybe it's easier to show these makeup looks in a YouTube video?  What do you think? I have yet to create a YouTube video, and to be honest, I'm a bit nervous about creating one... Let me know if you've filmed makeup looks, and any tips you have!
