Bows, Bows, and More Bows

Outfit Details

Dress - Romwe
Jacket - MinkPink
Shoes - Francis Sarto (from Marshall's)
Bow headband - Boutique in Midtown Sacramento

Bows are probably one of my favorite things ever! I can be girly at times (or let's be real - most of the time!), and tend to gravitate towards flouncy dresses, florals, and bows. I purchased this dress at Romwe's online store, and I was very pleased that I was finally able to wear it! I love the big bow detail in the back, and it's such an adorable dress to wear for any occasion (hmm maybe I'll even wear it to my cousin's wedding in May!?)  For this look, I added waves to my hair and put on my favorite floral headband with the cutest bow detail! I love this headband and think it's such a great way to add some girly fun to an outfit.  I also paired this look with my new nude cut-out booties from Marshall's. They are super cute, and toughen up the look just a bit, don't you think?! To further toughen up my ultra girlie look, I threw on a black "motocross" type jacket.

I can't believe February is almost over... It is one of my favorite months, and it always goes by so quickly. Lately, I've been struggling with remaining positive and looking on the bright side of things. For the month of February, I challenged myself to be positive, think about others more, and to kick negative thoughts out of my head. It's been difficult at times, and some moments are harder than others. I've learned that the mind can be a very powerful thing, and it's something I want to think about in March. It's so interesting how we can make our minds believe anything it wants to.  On another note, I read an article recently that said that people who are nervous or anxious are partly that way because they focus too much on themselves (not in a vain way - they just focus too much on what they're experiencing internally). So knowing that, I want to try and focus on the positives, as well as thinking more consciously about other people, AND push negative thoughts and assumptions to the side. Mind over matter - isn't that what people always say?! I'm curious to to know - has anxiety surfaced in your life recently, and if so, how do you deal?!

Thank you so much for visiting, and I hope you're having a fabulous Tuesday! I'm having a great day so far, and I'm so excited for what's in store these next few days!

  1. Gorgeous! I love the layers & the open back is so pretty. Staying positive is difficult, but I think being negative all the time makes like even harder. Keep it up!

  2. Thank you!! I love the open back too, it's a different look that I've steered away from because of the bra issue, BUT a bra with clear straps does the trick! Thanks for your kind words, I am definitely trying to see the positives in trying to stay positive :D
