Dress for Success

Outfit Details:

Nude/taupe wedges - Guess (from Nordstrom Rack)
Printed skirt - c/o Crossroads
Yellow blouse - c/o Crossroads
Gold leaf earrings - Claire's
White purse - thrift store

The other day, I wore this outfit to a Dress for Success Sacramento marketing meeting. I love combining prints and bright pieces together - it always makes me feel so confident! For this look, I put my hair in a high bun and added some simple gold leaf earrings to give a more polished vibe to my fun look.

So a little about Dress for Success... I have been interested in this nonprofit organization for awhile now, and a few years ago, I even tried to start an affiliate in Sacramento, but unfortunately, I never made it pass part 1 of the application process.   Fast forward to a couple years later... I've recently learned that Dress for Success Sacramento affiliate has been approved, and is now in the start-up phase.  Sooo exciting! I am so fortunate to be able to be involved in the start-up process, and I am learning so much already!

Dress for Success is a non-profit organization that is known for providing suits to disadvantaged women in the search for a job.  But it is so much more than that! The organization also provides disadvantaged women with a network of support as well as career development tools to help women become self sufficient and economically independent.  It is such an amazing organization, and I am so thrilled that it is coming to Sacramento! You can get more information by visiting their facebook page.

Although this post is titled "Dress for Success", this isn't typically an outfit I would wear in the workplace (depending on the company, of course!)  But, this is what I wore to a meeting, and I think it's a perfectly fine outfit for that! Also, I went to the dogpark afterwards, and that's where these pictures were taken :)

Thank you for visiting, and I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! It's also Lunar New Year, so for those that celebrate, Happy New Year!!
